Maintenance Philosophy
Riding motorcycles is inherently dangerous. That’s part of the draw to them and also what makes them fun. However, it’s important to mitigate unnecessary risks. Personal motorized vehicles might not seem as dangerous as military aircraft but the result of a mechanical failure could be and you don’t get a parachute! Even if a mechanical failure doesn’t end in death or injury; it ruins the enjoyment and your trust in your machine. The engineers that designed your motorcycle performed extensive tests to determine the best practices for preventative maintenance to mitigate those risks. Just like military aircraft I recommend performing all the steps listed in the service manual. It’s NOT just and oil change. Investing in proper maintenance protects your investment and enhances safety.
